About the Event
The Mass Timber Academy is delighted to announce the first of its 2021/22 programme of design and construction Short Courses focused on modern solid timber products and building systems.Â
This short course is open to architects, architectural technologists, structural engineers and current students of these disciplines.

Through engagement in five afternoon sessions, participants acquire in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing and parametric design advances that have dramatically shifted Glulam technology from single-span laminated beams to the highly sophisticated curved and interlocking systems possible today.Â

The detailed content of the five-week long series directly delivers 10 hours of objective, structured Continuing Professional Education (CPE).
​
Unique to this Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programme, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a mentored Design Sprint in which the information absorbed from the weekly sessions can be applied and tested. On successful conclusion of the Short Course and Design Sprint, participants will receive the Mass Timber Academy's Certificate of Achievement of competency in this subject.
